Starfishes, sea cucumbers, corals, octopuses, seahorses... Do you know you don't need to dive to see all these exciting marine life in Singapore? Join our half-day guided walk at Semakau Landfill and get ready to explore the richness of the seagrass meadows and coral reefs! You'll also get to go on a tour of the landfill.
Notice: All public walks this year are fully booked.
Suitable for all levels of students, teachers and general public.
The walks are non-profit exercises, designed to maximize the public’s access to Pulau Semakau. However, because boats are needed to bring people across the sea, there is a high overhead to the programme.
In addition, we will have to cover the stipend of the guides, administrative costs, programme overhead expenses and GST to ensure the programme is successful. Our philosophy is one of “breaking even” with overall costs and non-profit. As such, costs have been kept down to the absolute minimal. It is unfortunate at this junction, that the programme cannot be free.
For weekday walks and all other enquiries, please contact Mr Teo Siyang at siyang@nus.edu.sg with your details:
To confirm your booking, a non-refundable pre-payment is required. Details on payment will be emailed to you upon registration.
