01 Mar 2006 - Museum Roundtable launches Yesterday.sg - a group of heritage and blogging enthusiasts have joined hands with NHB and staff of other museums to launch this site. Interestingly, the site was first pointed to by Tomorrow.sg, the first major meta-blog site in Singapore. It is an interesting experiement in communicating anecdotes of social history which are being lost to time with each dying generation. It is particularly meaningful in the current discussion about the lack of national history education in schools.

01 Mar 2006 - The Museum Roundtable webpage has been launched as version 2.0 at http://museums.com.sg - it has a more dynamic feel and stronger marketing and will help promote the museum going habit. Meanwhile this site, which turned four years old in March 2006, will eventually be retired once all the relevant content has been shifted over. |
