July Survey and Exploration Trip
25 Jul 2009

On 25 July 2009, Project Semakau had its third hunting-seeking survey.

A total of 65 volunteers came for this survey, and they were divided into groups of twos or threes to survey the western part of the intertidal area. Fortunately for this survey, the weather stayed good, and the volunteers were able to  complete the survey on time.

After the survey, 23 volunteers stayed overnight for a barbecue specially arranged to thank the volunteers for the hard work they have put in for the past few surveys. The next morning, the volunteers also explored a previously unexplored part of Semakau! The area proved to be exceptionally rich, and will be surveyed in subsequent trips.

Here are some of the photograph taken during the survey.

Volunteers were required to look for organisms among seaweed and seagrass too.
