Selamat Datang
Welcome to my homepage.
My name is Lim Yun Ping. I am currently working at the
BioInformatics Centre at the National University of Singapore.
I am from Malaysia and have been in
Singapore for the past 7 years.
In these years, I had done my research projects in two different labs at
the at the Department of
Biological Sciences.
- The in vitro incubation of the hairy crab embryos:
Supervised by Dr. Guo Junyao .
- A computer-based taxonomic tool to identify polychaetes : EPIC-Online :Supervised
by
Prof Chou Loke Ming.
EPIC-Online had given me the opportunity to learn
something new and interesting outside zoology. It has also stirred up my
interest in the development of on-line keys and zoology related web
sites.
I also enjoy the beauty of the marine world. My course has taught me to
appreciated not only
the colorful lives beneath the oceans but the significant roles played by
the marine animals. My favourite marine animals are the nudibranchs, the sedentary polychaetes like the
"fanworms" and the sea anemones.
Happy surfing !
