Scalibregmatidae

The scalibregmatids are small worms which inhabit the muddy sediments and are distributed from intertidal regions to depths of 9174 m. They are generally microphagous deposit-feeders living in excavated pockets of soft sediments or inhabiting tubes formed by other species. They do not build their own tubes.
