Pilargiidae with simple setae

The pilargiids are a small group of carnivorous predators or omnivorous worms living on muddy sand in warm seas. They are present in most areas in moderate numbers and tend to be associated with shelf depths and moderately coarse to mixed sediments. They are adapted for burrowing.
