Family Lumbrineridae
Distribution: Sungei Buloh, Kallang Basin, Pulau Tekong, Pulau Semakau, Singapore river

They are free-living, burrowing forms in sand and mud or between algal hold-fasts and plant in sandy and muddy bottoms in shelf-depths but also occur in numbers in deep-water areas.
They are primarily soft bottom inhabitants and occur on hard substrates like corals. They are common in continental shelf sediments and are found from intertidal to abyssal de
pths. Some construct mucus tubes. They have a well-developed jaw apparatus suitable for grasping food material. Most of them are predaceous carnivores or scavengers. They are without notopodia.
