Pasir Panjang Heritage Guides Training Workshop II

The second round of refresher/training sessions have begun for the Pasir Panjang Heritage Guides. This heritage series was last conducted during the annniversary of the battle of Pasir Panjang in February.

Now guides are preparing themselves for the Heritage Fest 2005 in July, which is conducted in collaboration with the National Archives of Singapore, who manage the Reflections at Bukit Chandu.

This evening's session on flora and fauna was conducted in the Department of Biological Sciences' Seminar Room 4 by Raffles Museum Volunteer Airani and Research Officer Sivasothi. The project managers are Kiah Shen and Wendy and the project consultant is Oi Yee.

Soekarja Somadikarta visits

Professor Somadikarta (Faculty of Science & Mathematics, Universiti Indonesia), on the way back home from Leiden, dropped in to visit old friends the Raffles Museum. One of the first persons he saw was Mrs Yang, who happened to drop in today as well.
